| |We invite everyone to join us for the seminar is titled “Who wins from budgets?”. It will take place in the Estonian Chamber of Disabled People on 12th April 2019 within the SIA4Y Europe for Citizens project framework.
In the morning, ENUT team will give a short introductory presentation of the project SIA4Y, as well as a longer overview of the right to access information and how does this right empower the civil society.
This will be followed by a presentation by Laura Danilas who is a young member of Tartu city council. She has described herself as being the “voice of the youth”. Tartu is also a great example in the context of SIA4Y since Tartu city council uses participatory budgeting.
After the lunch break, Mari-Liis Sepper, a former Commissioner of gender equality and equal treatment, will give an introduction to gender budgeting. She will also supervise a group work where the participants are asked to analyse a budget from a gender equality perspective. The seminar will end with presenting the group work outcomes.
