SIA4Y project kick-off meeting in Gdansk – Day 1

On 10-11th December 2018 in Gdańsk, Poland, we officially started the “Strengthening civil society rights by information access for European youth” project, co-founded by Europe for Citizens programme. Our kick-off meeting took place in the premises of the Polish Economic Society, branch in Gdansk (PES) – project leader, who resides in the building just in the middle f the Ols Town, next to the famous Neptune Fountain.

On the 1st day of the meeting project partners had an internal, kick-off meeting, where we discussed the contents of the project applications, planned project activities and upcoming project events. We shared our views and opinions on the best practices collected in previous projects and agreed for the most exciting formats we wish to offer to our youth. Project Coordinator, Magda Leszczyna-Rzucidło from PES presented the project details, budget, visibility and dissemination rules etc.

You can see the basic presentation of the project aims and planned activities attached to this note.

Each project partner was represented by two people so that we could start an engaging discussion on the Freedom of Information and AoI for youth in our countries. In Gdańsk, we had partners from 5  EU countries.

We also welcomed external experts from Tallin Youth City Council and representative of an Associated Partner –  Claude Archer from Transparencia.be.

We finished the 1st day of the meeting with a joint dinner in one of the Gdansk Old Town restaurants on Dluga Street.
