“Access of information for youth – using interactive tools for processing and disseminating information” event in Riga!

On 15.01 more than 60 young people from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belgium and Poland gathered in Riga for international conference-workshop “Access of information for youth – using interactive tools for processing and disseminating information”.

During the first part of the day, participants had a chance to hear presentations about civic activities of youth in various EU countries as well as got to know such concepts as gender budgeting, lobbying and right to access information. After the informative sessions, youngsters learned about interactive tools for dissemination of information, and in the afternoon formed teams and engaged in a practical workshop. Results of the workshop were very interesting, as all groups had created innovative informative materials – videos, presentations and posters. An evaluation committee consisting of the speakers from different countries chose the best presentations in 4 categories: best learning material, the clearest message, the most original idea and the best content.

During the feedback, session participants informed that this day was very valuable as they learned new concepts, opened their minds for new ideas and had a chance to meet other young people from different countries.
